NGS Mechanical Services Ltd are a mechanical and electrical services contractor based in Dublin. We are currently engaged in several high-profile commercial contracts.
We are now looking for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team. The role will be primarily based on site in Dublin city center.
This person will lead their team to deliver projects on time, on budget and in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire project electrically and liaise with and support the Electrical site management team
- Maintain and expand existing relationships with all major Electrical Suppliers, Manufacturers and Specialist Sub-contractors
- Liaising with Clients, Main Contractors and Utility Services providers.
- Monitor progress against Main Programme and ability to create mini or recovery sub-programmes.
- Manage multiple sub-contractors and conduct regular sub-contractor meetings
- Carry out materials take-offs, estimate labour requirements and monitor budget expenditure, variations, etc.
- Produce reports, RFI’s, Technical Submittals, etc.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Familiar with all aspects of Electrical Construction processes and how to manage a project from start to completion
- Experience of large scale commercial and hospitality sector projects.
- Good communication skills, written and verbal.
- Capable of problem solving.
- Knowledge of site management principles, practices, and techniques.
- Knowledge of electrical applications for medium, low and extra low voltage electrical systems.
- Skill in the installation of all types of electrical system equipment and components.
- Skill in estimating time and material requirements for assigned work projects.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret drawings on printed plans, PDF’s and ideally, CAD/DWG files
- Knowledge of BCAR requirements and ability to assist in production of O&M Manuals
Requirements:
- A minimum of five years’ experience in a similar position.
- National Craft Certificate or equivalent experience
- Current Safepass Cert
- Current Manual Handling Certificate
