Electrical Supervisor

GS Mechanical Services Ltd are a mechanical and electrical services contractor based in Dublin. We are currently engaged in several high-profile commercial contracts.

We are now looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team. The role will be primarily based on site in Dublin city center.

This person will lead their team to deliver projects on time, on budget and in a safe and efficient manner.

 

Position:   Electrical Supervisor

Reports To: Project Manager    

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Schedule, assign, plan, and monitor the work of electrical personnel and sub-contractors.
  • Plan and develop work schedules and procedures for the project works.
  • Review drawings and specifications to ensure compatibility with electrical wiring regulations and standards.
  • Prepare material and labour estimates for change works.
  • Monitor and control the deliveries and use / distribution of materials.
  • Inspect installed works for quality and conformance to specification.
  • Maintain records of progress via redline mark-ups.
  • Ensure safety regulations and standards are maintained on site
  • Deliver Daily Toolbox Talks

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the electrical trade.
  • Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of supervisory principles, practices, and techniques.
  • Knowledge of electrical applications for low and extra low voltage electrical systems.
  • Skill in the installation of all types of electrical system equipment and components.
  • Skill in estimating time and material requirements for assigned work projects.
  • Skill in both verbal and written communications.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel, etc.)

 

Requirements / Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in a similar position.
  • National Craft Certificate
  • Current Safepass Cert
  • Current Manual Handling Certificate
  • First Aid Responder Certificate (optional but preferred)
